Jenni Ferrans has lived in Monkston for over 20 years and has represented Monkston ward on Milton Keynes Council for 8 years. She's also an active member of Kents Hill and Monkston Parish Council.
On the Council she chairs the Communities and Housing committee and sits on the Local Plan advisory group and the Budget Scrutiny Committee
In the ward her recent successes include getting most of the rest of the area connected to fibre broadband, getting more litter bins for Monkston Park shops and Caldecotte Lake in Walton Park, getting the Council to commit to refurbish Kents Hill Pavilion, getting energy-efficient affordable housing for Kents Hill Park and Walton Manor new housing sites to keep resident's costs down, and safeguarding the money for the play area for Walton Grange. She's working on a safer parking scheme for Lichfield Down Walnut Tree at present.
In her spare time she sings in a local choir and is a member of the Fabric and Fibre Guild.
