Following the floods last Christmas, Liberal Democrats on MK Council have been working with residents to understand what can be done to prevent future flooding, including what caused the local flooding over Christmas 2020. Two Groups were set up, one to find out about preventing flooding, the other to help with emergency situations.
Milton Keynes Council is on track to transfer a number of leisure and community facilities to local communities and organisations in a decision made by a Cabinet member last night. [Tuesday 20th July 2021].
Thanks to Cllr Jane Carr progress is at last has being made on investigating the planning permission for the Blakelands warehouse. Milton Keynes Council has agreed there must be a new investigation. To ensure it is independent it will be lead by a QC (Queen's Counsel) which is the right thing to do.
The Focus team have been negotiating with Lidl to reduce the various lighting outside the store which is shining into people's homes.
