I am absolutely delighted that my ward colleague, Cllr Derek Eastman, as been reselected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Newport Pagnell South Ward in the local elections on the 7th May. The same day as the General Election.
This is really good news for local residents as Derek Eastman has an excellent track record in representing residents since becoming a councillor for Newport Pagnell in 2010.
Together with Paul Alexander and I he has helped thousands of people over the years.
Derek has lived in the ward for 24 years. He is actively involved with various groups in the town. He is a Town Councillor, a governor of Green Park School, a member of the Neighbourhood Action Group, which works with the police, Town Council and residents to tackle problems in the town. He is also a trustee of the Middleton Gift.
Derek is also currently mayor of Milton Keynes.
The Liberal Democrat Focus Team works hard all year round and gives help where help is needed. They have been keeping in touch through the Focus newsletter for well over 30 years.
What ever you vote in the General Election please vote for Derek Eastman in the local election.
