The Labour Cabinet member at MK Council is due to take the decision on Tuesday 3rd Feb at 5:30 pm to take the Council's proposals to the next stage to include two green sites in Springfield and one in Downs Barn in future housing plans. Residents have expressed shock and dismay at the ideas and some are planning to turn up at the public meeting. The Lib Dem Focus team are supporting residents' opposition to the plans.

The report to be considered by the Cabinet member includes possible housing numbers on these sites: 28 on the site behind the Springfield pub, down to Stamford Avenue; 68 on the land bordered by Turnmill Avenue, Walbrook Avenue, the canal and Clerkenwell Place; and 9 off Capel Drive in Downs Barn. Previously all we have known is that the Council was considering these sites for housing development.

Subject to the decision on Tuesday, the Council is planning to consult residents until mid-April about the plans.
