Help for Struggling Residents in MK
Struggling residents urged to ask for help if they need it during second lockdown.
As Milton Keynes begins its first day in lockdown, local Liberal Democrat Leader Cllr Douglas McCall urges residents to reach out if you need help.
Following yesterday's vote by MPs to implement a month-long lockdown across England, Cllr Douglas McCall, the leader of the Liberal Democrats on Milton Keynes Council has reassured residents that help and support is there if they need it.
"The first lockdown was extremely tough for many people, and I would encourage all residents to reach out to their family, friends, local support groups or the Council if they're struggling this time around."
"If you're able to do so, please consider donating to Milton Keynes Food Bank Xtra. Following the decision by our local MPs to vote against plans to extend free school meals for children during the school holidays, this has never been more important, particularly as we enter the second lockdown."
"If you need help with food, please call the Food Bank Helpline on 0300 303 4933."
