The Liberal Democrats recently selected their PPCs for the two Milton Keynes constituencies.

Milton Keynes North PPC, Paul Graham, is a lecturer at Buckingham University and spent his career in higher education.

On his selection Paul said: "I live in the constituency and understand the challenges residents face; as a fast expanding and economically successful city we have to ensure the right services are in place so that we can manage that economic success for the benefit of everyone".

Lisa Smith, PPC for Milton Keynes South, has worked in the public sector all her life, from nursing to education and is currently a councillor in Aylesbury.

She said: "As a local councillor I appreciate the difficult choices that have to be made but we must always ensure that, when looking at how we move forward, we do not cut services that impact negatively on people's lives and make things more difficult for them".

Lib Dem Council Group Leader, Cllr Douglas McCall, commented: "We have two excellent parliamentary candidates who are already working with our local council team to ensure that we get the maximum number of Lib Dem councillors elected to work hard for the residents of Milton Keynes".
