On the 6th April the Liberal Democrats have called a Special Meeting of Milton Keynes Council to address the Green Bin issue.

The Executive Scrutiny Committee referred Labour's decision to charge £33 for each green bin to Full Council, but the next ordinary Council is not until June.

Liberal Democrat Leader Cllr Douglas McCall said "June is too long for residents to wait for this important issue to be addressed. So, the Liberal Democrats have called a Special Meeting of Full Council. This is likely to be on the 26th April".

Due to government legislation Full Council does not have the power to overturn the Cabinet decision only to ask them to think again.
