The Lib Dem Focus Team have received numerous complaints about the damaged bollards on the pedestrian refuges on Marsh End Road, Newport Pagnell. We have been informed that at least 2 non-injury accidents have occurred causing expensive damage to vehicles.

Initially MK Council were not treating this issue with the necessary priority, but following escalation by the Focus Team to a director at the Council action is now to be taken.

During November the Council plans to erect non-illuminated but highly reflective bollards, which are collapsible in the event of being hit by a car. However, when the car moves they return to their original position.
