Milton Keynes Council is on track to transfer a number of leisure and community facilities to local communities and organisations in a decision made by a Cabinet member last night. [Tuesday 20th July 2021].

The freehold transfer of four facilities to parish councils, including Westcroft Meeting Place, will mean that local communities will have more control over their own leisure and community facilities, with long term revenue savings for Milton Keynes Council.

Councillor Jane Carr, Liberal Democrat Progressive Alliance Cabinet Member for Leisure and Community Assets said:

"By transferring these assets, I look forward to seeing even more community centres, pavilions and sports grounds thrive in the future."
