New VWFS Building Opens

I was delighted to attend the opening of the new VW Financial Services (VWFS) in Tongwell, Milton Keynes, which is in my Newport Pagnell South ward.

My ward colleague, the mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr Derek Eastman was also present at the opening.

The building is a wonderful design, both inside and out. 300 new jobs were also brought to Milton Keynes.

The building was officially opened by the Lib Dem Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills the Rt Hon Vince Cable MP and the German Ambassador, Dr Peter Ammon. I valued the opportunity to talk to Vince Cable about what was going on in Milton Keynes.

I appreciated the opportunity to visit the building and talk to directors, but am very pleased at 300 more jobs in my ward.
