http://douglasmccall.mycouncillor.org.uk/2017/01/16/north-bridge-northampton-road-newport-pagnell/north-bridge-roadworks/ Single file alternating traffic is required at North Bridge as bridge repairs are undertaken.

Essential Stonework refurbishment of North Bridge commenced in January 2017 and will take up to 16 weeks to complete. The work will be carried out by specialist stonemasons Bowden and Ward and will be managed by Ringway, MK Council's highways contractor. Bowden and Ward are highly skilled craftsmen and have recently completed the Tyringham bridge refurbishment. As the Bridge is a grade 2 listed structure the work was approved by the Environment Agency.

The road to Northampton is exceptionally busy and traffic control is essential, operating on a single lane with alternating traffic controlled by traffic lights. Some congestion can be expected.
