The Lib Dem Focus team, local residents and Parish Councils are very concerned that less than a year after the number 18 bus service was restored to an hourly service, it is likely to be cut again in the latest round of Council bus cuts. This would affect many residents, particularly the elderly, along the route.

The Labour Council is cutting £2 million from bus subsidies and the 18 service relies on a Council subsidy to run at its current frequency.

The Lib Dems are fighting these cuts along with Simpson and Ashland Parish Council.
