Following major cuts to its grant from the Conservative Government MK Council has to make £22m of cuts in its budget this coming financial year.

One of the proposed cuts from the Labour Administration giving the Lib Dems and sheltered housing residents most concerns is the proposal to cut the warden service.

This morning I attended a packed meeting at Chartwell in Newport Pagnell to listen to the concerns of residents and advise them to write to the Labour Council Leader in support of the wardens and their Tory MP against the savage cuts to Local Government grants.

This proposed cut is only likely to increase NHS spending.
